Speech & Language Therapy

At Little Bridges Therapeutic Enrichment, speech and language therapy focuses on the child as an individual, using their specific interests and strengths to target skills. We use play based therapy to help carry over skills more easily to the child’s home, school, and social environments. We incorporate foundation skills of both executive functioning and social learning into everything we do to help support all areas of growth.

Speech Challenges Can Sound Like This:

  • Individual speech sounds (phonological and articulation difficulties)

  • Motor speech difficulties (CAS, dysarthria)

  • Stuttering

  • Pre-reading skills (phonological awareness, letter sound correspondence)

  • Vocabulary

  • Expressive  language (spoken and written)

  • Understanding language (spoken and written)

  • Pragmatic language (social learning)

  • Executive functioning skills (working memory, mental flexibility, and self-control)

  • Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC)
