Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy focuses on the child and provides sensory interventions through play. This allows the child to become as independent as possible in tasks that are meaningful to them and their family. This includes tasks such as playing, dressing, bathing, playing with friends, sleep, eating, and much more!

Little Bridges focuses on meeting the needs of the sensory system, which allows children to connect with their environments and complete daily tasks. Everyone processes sensory information in different ways, this could mean avoiding tasks that seem simple or craving activities that could be unsafe. When a child is unable to organize this sensory information it may seem like they are misbehaving when they are actually just trying to make sense of the world around them.
